RAT ATTACK IN SOUTH AFRICA

Rat Attack Platform: PlayStation Condition: New Other versions of this game available from us: Platform: Pre-Owned/Used: Very Good Condition copies available Product Description Review Rat Attack! takes the old game of cat-and-mouse into the digital age through a challenging series of 50 rodent-catching levels. With a hodgepodge of styles, this game enables players to choose from a group of furry feline scratch cats who look suspiciously like those popular kitty-head bumper stickers. Once the action starts, the spastic animation and angular artwork are enough to give anyone sore eyes. Nevertheless, the gameplay style and graphic design of Rat Attack! offers a welcome change from the usual video game fare. The basic rat-catching technique consists of stretching an energy lasso (called an "eraticator") around a pest without running into it, then hopping onto a pad that destroys your catch. Cats can also use their claws to stun rats, or you can catch the rodents by using household items, such as a vacuum cleaner. Each level has a time limit, which contributes to the frantic pace of the game. While this game probably won't win any industry awards, it is a fresh and stylish alternative to the usual gaming fare. --Jeff Young Pros: Unusual gameplay Great multiplayer options with 15 specific environments Long-lasting replay value with 50 levels Cons: The animation is a bit jerky, which can make it hard to tell what is happening onscreen The game clock doesn't offer enough time to explore the 1-room levels
