The resort is situated on the shores of the Sterkfontein Dam (the second biggest by volume in South Africa) with numerous activities available on site including a harbour facility for skiing or sailing (provided you bring your own equipment), fishing, bird watching, mountain biking, hiking, horse-riding, tennis courts, squash courts, kiddies playground, two swimming pools, a restaurant, bar and convenience store. There are barge cruises departing twice daily (minimum party of six), weather permitting. The resort hosts a traditional Boma Braai every Wed and Sat evening in a stunning enclosed area. Braais are supplied and you can either bring your own meat or purchase braai packs and side dishes at the boma. There is also a full bar facility available at the boma on these evenings. The Sentinel Hike - quite difficult so be prepared, Drakensberg Power Station - an excellent two-hour underground tour of the power station, Basotho Cultural Village - meet the chief and his three wives, take a tour through the village and arts and crafts shop, Golden Gate - known for its beautiful rock formations, Clarens - excellent art galleries and restaurants.
