Quantity surveyor Minimum Experience required 2 - 3 years in Civil Construction experience in Estimating and Quantity Surveying Minimum qualification required National Diploma or B Tech Quantity Surveying / Civil Engineering Degree will be an advantage Job Requirements Computer literacy English language proficiency Very important: Ability to read technical drawings Must be proficient in excel and MS word Key Performance Areas Prepare thorough and complete cost estimates for proposed projects / contracts in order to determine the profitability Prepare tenders Prepare quotes Analyse data such as labour costs, equipment, materials, subcontracts, overheads, insurance, mark-up, and any other costs that may affect the contracts Utilise drawings to provide detailed specification cost information Prepare quotes for general telephonic enquiries Provide information to clients on all Company products Follow up on orders and liaise with the client accordingly Obtain and collate information for tenders Assist Contract Managers with claims Assist Contract Managers cost advice and price information during all stages of the contract
