Condition As Per Photos.QSA MEDAL WITH 2 CLASPS TO A BEARER IN THE NATAL VOLUNTEER AMBULANCE CORPS J McCallum enlisted with the Natal Volunteer Ambulance Corps, as bearer, on the 23rd of December 1899 serving through the battles of Tugela Heights, and the Relief of Ladysmith. Confirmed on Roll. The medal does appear to the thinner towards the base of the medal. I have included a photo comparing it to another medal (SEE BELOW) Notation in the left margin of the roll does indicate that the medal was issued in June of 1905. The naming does appear official.
