Neil Armstrong stepped onto the moon’s surface at 02:56 GMT on the 21st of July. Nineteen minutes later he was joined by Buzz Aldrin, who was wearing his OMEGA Speedmaster and a legend was born.   The distinctive timepieces are powered by OMEGA’s calibre 1861, which shares its lineage with the calibre 321 used in the original Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch. The stainless steel casebody is delivered with a stainless steel bracelet which has been upgraded to include OMEGA’s patented screw and pin system.    The OMEGA Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch is delivered in a presentation box.

OMEGA SPEEDMASTER MISSIONS SERIES APOLLO 8 Rare Omega Speedmaster caliber 1861 manufactured in 200 unnumbered pieces on the occasion of the fortieth anniversary of the co-operation of the Omega brand and NASA in space exploration.  It bears a patch at 9 o'clock in honour of the mission accomplished from December 21 to October 27 1968 by Frank Borman, James A. Lowell and Willaim A. Anders. Box made of material covering the spacesuit included. Booklet outlining in detail each of the 22 missions is included. International warranty card (not completed) is included.
