VINTAGE VEGAS 40 ELECTRIC GUITAR 1966 Teisco Vegas 40 hollow body electric guitar. The guitar is all original. This version was made for the Japanese market with Vegas 40 logo on the headstock.   The neck is on the thinner side and the action is low; making this a fast, great playing neck. There is little fret wear, nothing that effects the play of the guitar. Cosmetically the guitar is in fairly good condition, however the  case is warn. I should also mention that this exact guitar was featured at the bottom of page 113 in Frank Meyers' excellent book, "History of Japanese Electric Guitars." I would encourage you to pick up a copy if you don't have one already. Please note that the buyer is responsible the pick up, shipping or courier  service and insurance.

Early Japanese hand built guitar made in the world renowned Terada plant in the mid to late Sixties. Terada guitars are reputed to excel any of the low to mid range products of today. I'd venture to say also that they compete with confidence against many quality high end guitars you could set against them. Plus they were the only other agency contracted to produce guitars for Martin - which attests to their quality credentials. This guitar is probably just over 50 years old, it has not seen much use for awhile and the condition is commensurate with any item of this vintage with the usual signs of honest wear and patina. In overall good condition, clean, recently strung and good to play, the playing action is medium/low for a classical guitar

And with the increased weight they were able to create Fat Tone. These can be used as a part of the new reissued guitars, enabling their owners to enjoy the characteristic closer to the original.
