        VINTAGE ENGLISH IOLITE, GARNET, DIAMOND GEMSTONE 9CT GOLD RING Gorgeous colours combine with this vintage piece. The main stone is an oval faceted, claw-set iolite gemstone. Iolite can vary from grey to blue but is most popular when it presents this particularly beautiful deep violet colour, not unlike tanzanite. There are 2 x trillion cut garnets, once on either side of the iolite, creating a beautiful berry line of colours. There are also 6 x round cut natural white diamonds, three on either side, channel set into the yellow gold shoulders leading up to the ring head.  There are no hallmarks so I can't tell you much about its provenance - to be safe I had the gold and the gemstones all checked and verified by a jeweller. However, I found it at a vintage jeweller in Birmingham, England in the famous Jewellery Quarter.  The front section of the 9ct yellow gold shank leading up to the bridge supporting the ring head is nice and solid but the shank is very slender at the back. Its  a big ring size (9).         VINTAGE ENGLISH CHESTER STYLE SAPPHIIRE 9CT GOLD RING This vintage English piece is simple and understated. There are three small round-cut very dark blue sapphires set into the 9ct yellow gold band of gold that widens on the ring head section and is ever so slightly curved to sit comfortably on the finger. The design is "chester" design with star-like deep set engravings set into the gold around the sapphires. It bears the hallmarks of English gold, the jeweller signature, the assay mark of Birmingham and the date mark. The design is actually a throw-back to a particularly popular style of England's Victorian era. However - the date mark shows that it was actually created in 1989. It is a simple delicate ring although at 2,22 grams, has a bit of substance to it. The ring is a continuous band all the way round, 6 mm on top of the ring head and 2 mm at the back of the shank. 9ct Gold, Garnet & Pearl Bracelet   The vintage bracelet has a 9ct yellow gold clasp and yellow old spacers. The clasp is set with six garnets (one round cut approximately 4.5mm diameter; five cut pear-shaped approximately 6.5mm x 5.1mm circa 4ct in total). The clasp is also set with eight good quality, round, cultured pearls circa 2.5mm diameter. The bracelet is made up 54 round polished garnet beads (5.5mm) and 24 pearls (23 pearls are 4.5mm diameter and one pearl is 3.2mm diameter. All the pearls are cultured, round, light cream with pink overtones, minor blemishes and good lustre.
