Hyper Sports, known in Japan as Hyper Olympic '84 (ハイパーオリンピック'84) is an arcade game published in 1984 by Konami. It is the sequel to 1983's Track & Field and features seven new Olympic events. Like its predecessor, Hyper Sports has two run buttons and one action button per player. The Japanese release of the game sported an official license for the 1984 Summer Olympics. In June 2018, Konami unveiled a reimagining of the game, Hyper Sports R, for Nintendo Switch. [1] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyper_Sports

Bubble Bobble (バブルボブル Baburu Boburu) is an comical action platformer video game by Taito, first released in arcades in 1986 [2] and later ported to home systems. [3] The game, starring the twin Bubble Dragons Bub and Bob, tasks players with travelling through one hundred stages, blowing and bursting bubbles, jumping on and off blown bubbles to navigate level obstacles, dodging and eliminating enemies, and collecting a variety of items including some that carry power-ups and significant bonuses. [2] For example, some wrapped candies allow Bub and Bob to move faster, blow bubbles faster, and blow bubbles at greater distances. Other items, such as umbrellas, allow to skip numerous levels, moving closer to the final level. [4] The game became popular and led to a long series of sequels and spin-offs. The main goal of the game is to rescue Bub and Bob's girlfriends from the Cave of Monsters. The game has multiple endings, which depend on the player's performance and discovery of secrets. [5] The creator of Bubble Bobble, Fukio Mitsuji (MTJ), went on to create other games such as Rainbow Islands, Syvalion and Volfied. He died on December 11, 2008 [6]. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bubble_Bobble

* Cartridge Only Super Mario Bros. [a] is a platform video game developed and published by Nintendo. The successor to the 1983 arcade game, Mario Bros., it was released in Japan in 1985 for the Famicom, and in North America and Europe for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) in 1985 and 1987 respectively. Players control Mario (or his brother Luigi in the multiplayer mode) as they travel the Mushroom Kingdom to rescue Princess Toadstool from the antagonist, Bowser. They must traverse side-scrolling stages while avoiding hazards such as enemies and pits with the aid of power-ups such as the Super Mushroom, Fire Flower and Starman. Super Mario Bros. was designed by Shigeru Miyamoto and Takashi Tezuka and was initially planned as a farewell to the Famicom in Japan before the release of the Famicom Disk System, drawing technical influence from several of the console's previous games. It was designed with ease of access in mind, with the first level, World 1-1, designed to introduce the core mechanics. The music was composed by Koji Kondo, and is considered influential in making music a larger aspect of video games. Super Mario Bros. is frequently hailed as one of the all-time greatest video games, with praise going towards its precise controls. It has sold over 40 million physical copies, making it one of the best-selling games of all time and one of the defining NES games. It is credited alongside the NES as one of the key factors in reviving the video game industry after the 1983 crash, and helped popularize side-scrolling platform games. It began an expansive franchise including a long-running game series, an animated television series, and a feature film. Ports and remakes of the game have been released for most of Nintendo's future systems. Alongside Mario himself, Super Mario Bros has become a prominent aspect of popular culture. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_Mario_Bros.

Popeye (ポパイ Popai) is a 1983 arcade platform game developed and released by Nintendo based on the Popeye characters licensed from King Features Syndicate strips and animated shorts. Unlike most platform games, the player cannot jump; the only button is "punch." The game was licensed by Atari for exclusive release in the United Kingdom and Ireland, and featured in an Atari designed and manufactured cabinet. Some sources [2] [3] [4] claim that Ikegami Tsushinki also did design work on Popeye. The Popeye characters were originally going to be used in the game that later became Donkey Kong. [5] However at that time on the development of the game, Nintendo could not get the licenses to use the characters. Ben Falls holds the world record score of 3,023,060 earned on December 20, 2011, according to Twin Galaxies International Scoreboard. [6] The Family Computer (Famicom) saw an educational sequel on November 22, 1983: Popeye no Eigo Asobi, an English teaching game akin to the later Donkey Kong Jr. Math. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Popeye_(video_game)
