Tools fabricator

General Staff position for a Tools Fabricator vacancy reporting to the Tooling & Technical Training Manager, based in Port Elizabeth. Purpose of the position is to manufacture tools e.g. templates, jigs, fixtures etc. to be used in the manufacture of automotive 'components'. MINIMUM Requirements

Up and coming Architectural Aluminium manufacturing company is looking for an experienced fabricator, assembler and fitter with a proven track record of top quality assembly work with hands-on experience in the manufacturing of aluminium doors, windows and glazing and shall: - coordinate incoming material - prepare, lay out and fabricate aluminium windows, doors and other products - be skilled in machine operation, measuring and fitting hardware, assembling frames - ensure all applicable safety rules and regulations are followed - read, understand and ensure compliance with operations manuals - install items that have been fabricated as assigned - cut, fit, install, repair, or replace glass or glass substitutes, such as plastic or aluminium, in building interiors or exteriors or in furniture or other products - apply adhesives, caulking, sealants or coatings - install locks, hinges, or related finish hardware - install or replace glass in windows, skylights, or other structural surfaces - drive motor vehicle, van or light truck - determine material or tool requirements - organise, plan and prioritize work - use hand or power tools - train and teach others The successful candidate must have: - A proven track record (at least 5 years experience) in the manufacturing of aluminium doors, windows and glazing - Experience in the use of machine tools including drop saw, mitre saw, routers and punches - The ability to work with hand tools - Ideally Grade 12 - A valid code 08 Drivers licence Email your CV with references to info@aluselect.co.za
