Mortimer- this sub office was opened.in 1881 and remained open until 1902 when it was moved to Mortimer Rail/Station Then in 1910 the office was returned from the rail office as sub office with telegraph facilities then in 1912 the office returned to the station as a post and telegraph Office. This card was posted at Mortimer on 1 October went via Cradock on the same day to Somerset East where it arrived on 2 October 1910. How is that for Postal History. The Picture is not the issue here it is the strikes on the card.
