Syphon Filter (U) Platform: PlayStation Condition: Pre-Owned/Used in Very Good Condition This Title Also Available As: New: Brand New and Sealed games available Please get in touch for information on these options. Pre-owned games supplied with applicable serial keys. However - please note: Any single use keys or activation codes may have already been used/redeemed. Product Information Play as counterterrorist special agent Defend Washington, D.C., from biological attack Use such powerful weapons as sniper rifles and short-range shotguns Mission-based gameplay Innovative targeting system helps take down bad guys Product Description Syphon Filter (U) (PS1 Black Label) Review The measure of a good game, like a good movie or book, is the emotional and, sometimes, physical response it elicits. Syphon Filter (U) will literally make your pulse race. As counterterrorist special agent Gabe Logan, you must eliminate an evil terrorist determined to unleash a deadly virus in your nation's capital. Syphon Filter (U) features the smoothest, slickest motion capture of any PlayStation game. Gabe seems to come alive as he seamlessly connects acrobatics such as running, crouching, rolling and hanging from pipes. As in a good action film, there's an impressive arsenal of firepower that ranges from stealthy night-vision sniper rifles to high-impact, short-range shotguns. But this game's landmark contribution is its targeting control, which enables Gabe to lock and hold on to a target while freely moving in any direction, eliminating the hassle of adjusting the viewpoint to face his enemies. There are plenty of surprises, but all the goals are evident, and your partner, Lian Xing, keeps things rolling along with radio messages of changing mission objectives. Everything in this game plays smoothly: the story line fits, the action moves at a steady clip, it just works. --Jeff Young Pros: Fluid, stylish animation Useful weaponry and contextual puzzles Excellent level design Cons: Occasional slowdown when many enemies are onscreen at the same time No 2-player mode

Syphon Filter: The Omega Strain (PS2) Platform: PlayStation2 Condition: New Other versions of this game available from us: Pre-Owned/Used: Very Good Condition copies available Product Information Become a skilled agent in Gabe Logan's reformed Agency Take on terrorists with over 100 deadly weapons and gadgets Explore and battle through 17 massive non-linear worlds Multiple ways to complete each mission Sophisticated enemy AI Optional 4-player co-operative online play for all 17 missions USB headset compatible--verbally strategize with fellow agents online Offline: 1 player Online: 1-4 players (requires broadband connection and Network Adapter) Product Description Review Syphon Filter is a peculiar franchise. The first game was a very decent pastiche of Metal Gear Solid, but subsequent sequels seemed to become increasingly less so, to the point where this fourth title is really make or break for the series. The Omega Strain 's big new feature, as with many sequels nowadays, is that the game is now playable online, and rather than being an afterthought or grossly simplified version of the single player mode there's actually an impressive attempt to put the whole game online, where it's playable by up to four people at a time. The only problem is that because the online and offline modes are so similar this actually means that if you know what you're doing, and particularly if you've got microphone headsets to co-ordinate yourselves with, it all becomes rather easy--a fact that a rather intrusive time limit cannot really balance out. But the problem with the online mode isn't really that it's too easy but that the basic gameplay of the single player mode just doesn't cut the mustard anymore. Considering the advances made in Metal Gear Solid 3, the Syphon Filter franchise just seems to be treading water and the rather weak graphics, stodgy controls and generally uninspired level design are rather more typical of Syphon Filter 2 and 3 than the original. The Omega Strain is not a bad game by any means, but apart from the novelty of playing it online it really is difficult to describe it as anything other than average. -- David Jenkins Manufacturer's Description Syphon Filter: The Omega Strain explodes onto the PS2 with edge-of-your-seat offline and online action. The newest instalment in the multi-million-selling series offers sophisticated and highly intelligent AI, richly detailed worlds, an enhanced character customisation system and groundbreaking co-operative, peer-to-peer online gameplay. Selected as one of the chosen few to be a trained operative within Gabe Logan's new Agency, gamers will enter a world of intrigue and global espionage, battling lethal enemies through 17 thrilling missions that span the globe from Yemen to Toronto. With a deadly arsenal of all-new high tech weaponry and gadgets, players can take on commandos solo-style or go online and join up with three other agents for action-packed, strategic, team-based gameplay. While all 17 missions are available in single-player and online, online gameplay offers players the opportunity to access more of the worlds through working hand-in-hand with other skilled operatives. Gamers will need all the help they can get as the future of the world's population once again hangs in the balance.

Fighting Force 2 (PS) Platform: PlayStation Condition: New Other versions of this game available from us: Platform: Pre-Owned/Used: Very Good Condition copies available Product Information New 3-D engine technology - faster, seamless gameplay. Real-time character and object lighting. Advanced combat system. Enemies have unique aptitude levels, allowing them to see obstructions and use the environment to their tactical advantage. Expansive 3-D environments designed for interactive negotiation and strategic exploration. Over 20 lethal weapons at your disposal. Over 50 unique enemy types that use the terrain to their tactical advantage Product Description Combining elements of stealth, strategy and interaction, Hawk Mason returns in Fighting Force 2. The fighting part is up to you--but the successful negotiation of complex R&D facilities requires a lot more than muscle-power this time. Whether you're stealing blueprints, tracking down escaped mutants, or unleashing a lethal combination of fighting moves, your every step is crucial. The outcome depends on your chosen tactics--whether you lie in wait or choose a storming assault. Strategy and foresight are key to the success of this mission...and your own survival. Review Similar to Syphon Filter from 989 Studios, Fighting Force 2 puts players in the role of a cyber-enhanced cop of the future. You are trained to infiltrate evil research and development facilities, destroy their work, and clear out any and all opposition. Fighting Force 2 is filled with massive levels, giving lead character Hawk Manson the opportunity to explore multiple floors, smash through walls, and break almost anything in search of keys to new areas. Levels are filled with enemies whom Hawk can defeat using any of 20 weapons (including rifles, knives, and sledgehammers) that can be obtained by destroying cabinets, soda machines, and crates. Fighting Force 's graphics are on par with Syphon Filter 's, but controls are far simpler. As a result, it is fairly easy to dive in quickly to the action. While simplicity is the key to Fighting Force 2, this game does lack the substance and theatrical style that characterise Syphon Filter and other offerings. --Robb Guido,.com Pros: Huge levels and loads of weapons Rarefied controls compared to Syphon Filter 's Cons: Levels may be a little too big
