Steiff Signed Titanic Mourning Bear Edition EAN On a cold, moonless night at pm on the 14 th of April a ship struck an  iceberg in the North Atlantic. Within three hours, that ship slipped beneath the waves taking with it over people. That ship was the Royal Mail Steamship Titanic of the White Star Line.   Steiff created the Titanic Mourning Bear in in the wake of the disaster.
