Behind the Scenes contains just about every piece of information on everything to do with Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. As this was released before Episode I hit the screens, it also contains "sneak previews" of the prequel, but most of the action focuses on the original three. You can explore the characters in depth, from original concept sketches and development, through to the final completed version. You can also explore weapons, including a testing area, explore locations; study the timeline of the Star Wars universe and much more. The depth of information is incredible. The compendium comes on two CDs and is very easy to explore and navigate around, so is perfect for young budding fans and older fanatics alike. With loads of video clips, audio, and video extracts, there should be enough to keep you entertained for hours. There is also a trivia quiz that will keep a running score as you explore. This is an interactive information collection, and is not a playable game, so if you are looking for Star Wars action, then Starfighter or Shadows of the Empire might be more up your street, but that aside, Behind the Scenes will entertain any Star Wars fan, young or old. -- Chris Hall
