I have a 5.5m Regale Elegante with a 200HP Mariner, 2-stroke outboard that I use infrequently. It has all the toys, equipment, sound system, boat-cover, bimini-top, trailer, bilge pump, fish-finder, depth sounder, log, life jackets, 90l plus 25l tanks, safety gear etc. Also buoyancy certificate and permit for Twee Waters and Langebaan Lagoon. Monthly costs run to about R1100 each for storage, maintenance, cleaning, insurance, permits etc. We would share these 50/50. Boat, trailer and motor are in good nick, serviced and surveyed this year. Upholstry could use a slight make-over. Half share runs to about R38,000 with option to buy outright.
