A large concern is seeking a Quality Technician. NQF level 4 2 to 3 years experience in metrology and / or layout measurements would be advantageous. Knowledge of quality systems. Excellent Computer literacy (MS Excel, MS Word). MS Access would be advantageous. Experience in measuring equipment with the software Metrolog XG. 3D motorized machine measuring experience would be advantageous. Knowledge of drawings and ability to interpret drawings. Knowledge of Measurement System Analysis (MSA). Good communication skills. Ability to understand weld specifications. Ability to understand test specifications. Test and Measuring laboratory experience would be advantageous. Knowledge of the software CATIA V5 would be advantageous. Experience with ultrasonic test will be advantageous. Experience with the working standards and quality of the OEM’s Experience working with gauges of control of the production for welded assemblies. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Dimensional measuring of seats and components. Measuring and completion of ISIR / PPAP and assist with PPAP package documentation. Programming of motorized 3D measuring machine. Quality training. SPC / Capability studies. Calibration of testing equipment. Measurement systems analysis studies. Periodic dimensional layouts. Control of engineering drawings. Compiling of test reports after each test. Stopping any suspect welding process. Stopping the manufacturing process of a component when a failure is detected during testing. Reporting any failures to management. Ensure Quality Manual procedures and work instructions are known and followed Monitor internal, supplier and customer corrective actions Conduct internal Process and Product audit Ensure effective corrective action is implemented on all customer complaints.
