Auction catalogue (November 28 - December ) of Russian rare books, pamphlets, drafts and old musical scores of the 16th, 17th, 18th and 19th century originally collected by Sergei Diaghilev (), including listings for the first Russian book printed in Moscow (), and first editions of Gogol, Tolstoy, Dostoyevky and Pushkin. Introduction by Serge Lifar () is in French, the catalogue listings are in English. Eight hundred and twenty-six lots up for bid over the four-day sale. A solid, clean and crisp copy without inscriptions or markings, gilt to original green boards remains bright. Complete with the original corrigenda slip and an unused bidding slip laid in. In a good if somewhat edge-nicked & creased glassine wrapper.     Dimensions: 255 mm x 190mm 217 Pages Sold as seen in the images.

No 260, page 66 in Brian Hern's Catalogue - Medallions of the ZAR and Anglo Boer War Aan de Dappere Strijders Voor Recht en Vrijheid 1899-1900 Occassion: Struck at the instigation of Bachoven Von Eecht. It is the earliest of the commemorative medal in honour of the President's 70th birthday on October 10th 1900. On this day the President was in Lourenzo Marquess awaiting the arrival of the ship to transport him to Europe  Mintage: Unknown Hard to find in this condition! Feel free to ask any questions?

 Very highly graded by NGC, only one graded! No 858, page 196 in Brian Hern's Catalogue - Medallions of the ZAR and Anglo Boer War Issued to returning troops. Countess of Powys presented these medallions at a ceremony in the Town Hall. Later on, September 6, 1902 at a lucheon at the City Hall, Miss William Wynn again presented these medallions. Mintage: Unknown Value: Catalogued at R2000.
