This is a Rhone style red blend of Shiraz, Mourvedre and Viognier and has a beautiful dark ruby red colour with hints of purple. It features floral aromatics of violets and lavender with hints of spice. Juicy layers of red and dark berries come through on the palate, with elegant tannins on the finish. The grapes used to create this unique red blend originated from Tokara's premium vineyards on the slopes of the Simonsberg Mountain. There is a hint of herbal spice on the mid-palate which leads to fine, firm tannins on the finish. This wine has a stunning depth of colour displaying an intense garnet centre and a ruby rim The nose is subtle at first, but then opens up to red and black fruits with hints of dried herbs, eucalyptus, cedar wood and graphite The flavours are those of dark cherries, raspberries and blackcurrant

The name Missing Virgin refers to a printing error on a Virgin Island stamp. The virgin figure was omitted from the stamp, hence the nickname, “Missing Virgin”. St. Ursula was a virgin martyr who lived between the third and fifth centuries A.D.
