WWII US military issued, True Temper, machete, marked “True Temper, TT-18-B, 1943 - U.S.” The blade is 45 cm (17¾ inches long along the top from handle to tip. The blade is 3.8 cm (1 ½ inches) wide at the handle and 5 ½ cm (2¿ inches) wide at the widest point. The handle is 13 ½ cm (5¼ inches) long, 3.8 cm (1 ½ inches) wide at the blade, 5 cm (2 inches) wide at the widest point and 2 ½ cm (1 inch) thick. The handle has a small chip missing from the very end. Overall in excellent condition with some minor dings on the top of the blade – I’m sure remnants of active duty in Europe. No sheath/scabbard.   This Item was “discovered”  amongst  my father-in-law’s (who did service in Europe during the Second World War) personal memorabilia and was kept like this since then.
