World War II ; Total Number of Pages of these 7 volumes; 3083  NB; NB It appears that this set was published in 9 volumes and I do not have Volumes 8 and 9 but only have Volumes 1 - 7  All books have very good tight binding without any tears  or browning of the paper.There is some age related shelfwear and insect type damage to some of the cloth covers.  please see the photographs. Extremely Rare Vintage Newsletter Collection in Bound Volumes. The Great War: The Standard History of the All-Europe Conflict Authors: HW Wilson & JA Hammerton Very Rare Historical Series published from 1914 to 1919 Full series of 13 volumes bound by Amalgamated Press, London, UK. Published from 1914 to 1919 During WWI, weekly periodicals with news updates and photos were published and made available to the public. Readers bought the weekly periodicals and kept them. At the end of each year, the 52 periodicals for that year were sent to Amalgamated Press, London, who then bound them in book form and returned the bound volumes to the reader. The collection listed here, contains the full series of original periodicals published & bound in 13 volumes from 1914 to 1919. This is a very rare and sought after historical collection. Condition: This collection is in the original form - It has not been modified or altered in any manner. Covers: Burgundy cloth hard covers. Fair condition. Some scuff marks, minor blemishes. Upper rear edge of volume 1 cover damaged. Interior: Excellent. Very clean. No tearing. No folds. No marks. No blemishes. No discolouration. Shipping to be arranged by buyer.
