Here we have on auction a used BUT great condition Recce (SA Special Forces) SADF era copy camo long sleeved shrt in copy Tanzanian DPM tropical lightweight camo fabric - copy camo cloth and style (cut/ sewn) in a SADF style/ pattern. This is a great summer shirt with pockets on both sleeves for a FFD and small note-book or compass etc. This l/s shirt is still intact, no damage and the colours are still bright and vibrant and as a MEDIUM size ideal for display purposes as an exmaple of the Recce copy camo programme - which mimic'd the small details of enemy uniforms - even down to the buttons used and cloth weight! Here we see a member of the SA SF Recce's wearing a Tanz copy camo l/s shirt during training; Postage quotes supplied to the winning bidder and dependent on the persons location and preferred shipping/ postage method. Here on auction we have a very rare and difficult to obtain bush-war era genuine period piece - a SWAPO armed wing PLAN ID card sourced locally in SA from a veteran. How this card came to be in the hands a an SADF member only he would know! Someone has suggested that based on the origin it may have been used as part of the SADF efforts at psuedo-ops? This is the real deal and a great display item - ideal for an authentic display/ serious collector of bush-war items and essential as a FAPLA/ CUBAN/ SWAPO/ PLAN "enemy" display item (the opposing forces). Please see the pics for further detail and as a confirmation of the item and its condition as on auction. General Service Campaign medal with Mentioned in Dispatches and Maluti Clasp Physical Description: Excellent condition medal is numbered Award description: To a member of the SADF or the Auxiliary Service of the SADF, who has since 1 January 1983 been employed, within the borders of the Republic of South Africa. 1990 - Qualifying service (a) Service rendered within the borders of the Republic of South Africa for a continuous period of 55 days, or for a noncontinuous period of 90 days. (b) Whilst rendering such service irrespective of the period of service, was injured or killed and was thus prevented from completing the required period of service. 1993 - Amendment to qualifying service was extended to combat terrorism and crime. The following was considered as qualifying service for the award of the medal: Rendering service and completed as part of any military operation within the borders of the Republic of South Africa on service in defence of the Republic or in the prevention or suppression of terrorism or in internal disorder in the Republic or in the preservation of life, health or property or for the maintenance of essential services, including the maintenance of law and order or the prevention of crime in co-operation with the South African Police. Presented by CR JOHN Orr.jp mayor of Kimberley 1910 souvenir cup.very rare item,no chips or cracks it’s the cup only, other items are display item only and not included   USED ITEM OF AGE, GOOD CONDITION, Some information on him  He served as mayor of Kimberley from 1909 to 1910 and again from 1916 to 1918. In 1910 he issued Kimberley souvenir cups to celebrate the formation of the Union of South Africa. He was a  member of the first Management Board of the Alexander McGregor Memorial Museum, and was founder of the Kimberley Horticultural Society. In 1918 he was awarded an MBE.
