Here on auction we have a new build replacement std shape pocket affiliation leather hanger for the 4 Recce (Langebaan) fob badge - which was in the unit tradition "from the sea" made from genuine seal skin - in new unused new-build condition - these "pocket fobs" were worn as part of the SADF unit affilaition dress regulations for Officers (Lt Cols and higher) and Warrant-Officers (WO class 1's). This seal skin leather was sourced from a local SA boot manufacturer that makes actual boots from seal skin.
