Of course, for the uninitiated among us, there are a number of difficulty levels ranging from easy, which is actually very easy, to normal, which takes a few steps to get used to and then it starts moving on to hard, expert and crazy, with the latter involving really jumping around. The other added bonus to this pack is that the dancemat is really a controller and so is not exclusive to the Jungle Book Groove, giving some interesting results when playing any fighting or football-based game. This is a great product if you are looking for some fun at the party or merely aiming to combine playing video games with doing some exercise. With the songs also having karaoke words, it's not just the dancer that gets all the fun. The Eye Toy, for players unfamiliar with it, is a camera that connects to the PS2 and projects a mirror image of the player on the screen. It recognizes hand and body movements, turning the player's body into the controller. In single-player mode, dots appear and move toward one of six these circles on the screen as music plays. The goal is to move your hand over the circle as the dot moves over it. Timing is everything, of course: getting the dot and circle lined up exactly scores you bonus points. As levels progress, the game throws in extra challenges. Dots with trails behind them make you shake your hand over the circle for a few extra seconds. The circles can also change into arrows for your hands to follow. A few times per round, the game will move into pose mode, asking players to strike the indicated pose to score points. In addition to the single-player game, EYE TOY: GROOVE includes a multiplayer mode for up to four people and a custom mode where players can create their own moves. In multiplayer mode, players can either challenge each other or work together to clear the dots. With these different modes, EYE TOY: GROOVE is a great party game. Gameplay The Jungle Book Groove Party loosely follows the story of The Jungle Book film, going through Mowgli 's journey to the Man Village and the creatures he encounters along the way. The game is played in the style of Dance Dance Revolution with some differences, and can played with either a standard controller or a dance pad. Arrows come down the top of the screen and the player must step on the corresponding arrow in time to the music. Missing arrows cause the fruit at the top of the screen to turn yellow and disappear, with the game ending if all pieces of fruit are lost. Power-ups can be activated by entering input commands in between arrows. These range from beneficial bonuses, such as point multipliers or automatically clearing arrows, to offensive items that hinder your opponent, such as blocking their view. The story mode takes Mowgli through nine levels, including two boss levels. The game also features a two-player mode allowing two players to battle against each other. Songs Some songs such as "The Bare Necessities" and "I Wan'na Be Like You" are from the original film; the new songs were written by Nicolas Maranda, who also arranged all the songs.
