Amongst the survivors is a 16-year-old boy named Kitch, whose fatherworked on a cure for the virus and is widely thought to be responsiblefor the outbreak. Kitch believes his father is dead but when hestumbles across a drone, that is different from any he has seen before,clues about his lost father begin to surface. Kitch starts to believehis father is still alive somewhere and that the unusual drone; DR1,will lead him to him. Kitch takes to the road, following DR1, in the company of a localgangster, 4C's, runaway niece Maya. When 4C realizes that his niece ismissing he sends his thugs to retrieve her and DR1. Kitch and Maya haveto somehow stay alive as the drone leads them across a desolate anddestroyed world towards an uncertain destination. Was his long absentfather responsible for the outbreak? Is he really the true monster thatKitch has come to see him as?
