Abies concolor  Seeds Abies concolor commonly known as White Fir is native to the western United States, through the Rocky Mountains from southern Idaho south through Utah and Colorado to New Mexico, Arizona and also Nevada. When mature it can reach a height of 20-25m or even a little more used in a garden or landscape situation a height of 12-15m is more usual. In any case the White Fir is fairly slow growing at 30-45cm/year even with good growing conditions so it takes quite a while to outgrow its position in a large garden. It has a pyramidal shape and horizontal branching with the lower branches drooping toward the ground and for the best visual result it should be grown in an open area so the lower branches can touch the ground. When branched to the ground the shade is sufficient to kill off the underlying grass. The foliage is a wonderful blue-grey which appears much like that of the Colorado blue spruce. This makes it popular as an ornamental landscaping tree and as a Christmas tree. The foliage is also used in large quantities for Christmas wreaths and decorations owing to its soft needles and generally excellent needle retention and abundance. It is regarded as one of the most adaptable and less site exacting species of the fir genus and will withstand heat and drought better than most firs and can tolerate winter temperatures to -40°C. For germination the seeds require a period of moist pre-chilling also known as stratification before the seeds should be sown, this takes around 6 weeks in the fridge and is not difficult to do. On offer is a pack of 50 Seeds

Passiflora caerulea (blue passion flower, common passion flower) is a species of flowering plant native to South America (Argentina, Chile, Paraguay, Uruguay and Brazil). It is a vigorous, deciduous or semi-evergreen tendril vine growing to 10 m (33 ft) or more, with palmate leaves and fragrant, blue-white flowers with a prominent fringe of coronal filaments in bands of blue, white, and brown. The ovoid orange fruit, growing to 6 cm, is edible but bland. P. caerulea is a woody vine capable of growing to 1520 m high where supporting trees are available. The leaves are alternate, palmately five-lobed like a spread hand (sometimes three or seven lobes), 1018 cm long and wide. The base of each leaf has a flagellate-twining tendril 510 cm long, which twines around supporting vegetation to hold the plant up. The flower is complex, about 10 cm in diameter, with the five sepals and petals similar in appearance, whitish in colour, surmounted by a corona of blue or violet filaments, then five greenish-yellow stamens and three purple stigmas. The fruit is an oval orange-yellow berry 6 cm long by 4 cm in diameter, containing numerous seeds; it is eaten, and the seeds spread by mammals and birds. It is edible to humans, but bland in flavour. In tropical climates, it will flower all year round. Clitoria ternatea 'White' Seeds Common Name: White Butterfly Pea Originating from the Indonesian Island of Ternate, this unusual member of the pea family is one of the most amazing vines to grow. These will bloom all year long in frost free zones or inside as an exotic vining houseplant. Technically a tropical plant, they are also easily grown as annuals in colder climates and will quickly bloom from seed in about 6-8 weeks. Flowers are solitary, bright deep blue with light yellow markings that are about 5 cm long and 2.5-4 cm wide. So named because they are a favorite food source for butterflies, Butterfly Peas are fast growing, up to 4.5 meter in a single season, providing quick covers for lattice, trellis and arbors or grow them in hanging baskets. They prefer full sun to light shade, are very drought tolerant and are well-adapted to a variety of soil types. The bid amount is for 1 Seed We'll supply you with all the germination & care instructions.

Wahlenbergia rivularis Seeds Wahlenbergia rivularis is another perennial wahlenbergia at Kirstenbosch. It flowers throughout the summer with beautiful white to cream bells. It prefers a slightly more damp soil than Wahlenbergia undulata and grows in full sun or semi-shade. The growth habit also differs from that of Wahlenbergia undulata. It spreads along the ground forming a groundcover of soft green leaves with white flowers about 30 cm above the ground. Wahlenbergia rivularis looks lovely planted along the edge of a path or a pond. It goes slightly dormant in winter looking a bit untidy, but remains green. Wahlenbergia rivularis roots as it spread making it easy to propagate by division, from cuttings or seed. There are about 267 species of Wahlenbergia worldwide, of which most are found in South Africa. Most of them are annuals or herbaceous perennials with bell-shaped flowers in shades of mauve, blue, white, or cream. You're buying a pack of 5 Seeds We'll supply you with all the germination & care instructions. Click Here to see more Wahlenbergia Species
