Pollywog is stoked to show you the Clayton Surfboards Mongrel. The MONGREL is one of the high performance shorter wider boards which are popular with intermediate to advanced surfers. The board is ridden up to 4" shorter than normal and is wider with less rocker. The tail has a single wing and the diamond tail shape shortens the rail giving the board its looseness. Concaves are medium single to double and the rail is full giving the board the volume it needs. The board is quick to accelerate and maintains speed through turns allowing you to link up your manovers with little effort. Generally ridden by intermediate to advanced surfers in small to medium size surf.   Length Width Thickness Volume (Litres) Weight Capacity (KG) 5'4" 18 1/2" 2 22 40 - 50 5'5" 18 3/4" 2 1/8" 24 50 - 60 5'6" 18 7/8" 2 3/16" 24,8 55 -65 5'7" 19" 2 1/4" 25,8 60 - 70 5'8" 19 1/4" 2 5/16 26,8 65 - 75 5'9" 19 1/2" 2 3/8 28,5 70 - 80 5'10" 19 3/4" 2 7/16 29,8 75 -85 5'11' 20" 2 1/2 31,2 80 - 90 6'0" 20" 2 5/8 33,2 85 - 95 6'1" 20" 2 3/4 35,2 90 - 100

POLLYWOG IS STOKED TO PRESENT THIS SICK SURFBOARD FROM MAYHEM! At Pollywog we understand one very important fact when it comes to surfboards, knowledge is power! Matt Biolos is one of the global leaders in surfboard design and technology, always on the cutting edge of design and new material construction. With a global surf team of note providing constant feedback, you can be sure that your board is packed with years of research and development, to give you the maximum amount of help while surfing. This ensures hours of fun in the water and the ability to improve your surfing rather than fighting with equipment that is not right for you. Matt visits South Africa at least once a year to check in on the factory and off course surf the amazing waves we are blessed with here in South Africa. He knows and understands the various wave set ups here in South Africa which is priceless when it comes to getting you the right board. The Lazy Toy takes high volume/low rocker, neutral bottom curves, small wave surfboard designs to a wider range of waves and a more versatile and diverse playing field. Using an elliptical, ¿Double ender¿ outline, the Lazy Toy is inspired by the boards ridden by guys like Wayne Lynch and Michael Peterson in the 1970¿s. These elliptical, continuous curves and outlines, combined with our proven ¿Domesticated¿ rockers, create a board that has a very open and forgiving sweet spot (as far as foot placement goes) and can be ridden in waves from knee high to over head with ease. Because of the narrow hipped, continuous curve, outline, you can surf this with a centered stance for down the line 70¿s inspired speed runs, down carves and cutbacks¿. or step back on the tail and go vertical off the bottom and in the pocket. The bottom contours (mostly flat rail to rail, with rolled, soft edges and a spiral vee under the rear foot) neutralize the high volume and free the board up, making it easy to push and permeate the rail deep and perpendicular into the face of the wave¿..rather than skate flat on top of the water. Paddling? What do you expect¿.like a Cadillac¿for Domestic Domination. He knows and understands the various wave set ups here in South Africa which is priceless when it comes to getting you the right board. Over the course of 2015, we made a few of these round tail PJ's as custom orders mainly for people looking to get a little more range out of a board design they really liked. It¿s essentially the same board as before, but with a rounded tail that is narrower in the last 18', and with just a subtle bit of extra rocker bent into the tip and tail. The stock dims are scaled a bit differently, taking into account that many people will ride the round tail 1" - 2" longer than the original squash tail PJ. This board will still ride very small waves with ease, yet can be ridden in much larger and powerful surf than the OG Puddle Jumper. The curvier outline (and slightly extra end rocker) fits better in tight radius beach breaks while holding long arcs with control in large, open face point and reef waves...all without forsaking paddle power and stability. Pollywog is stoked to show you the Clayton Surfboards Trickster. The TRICKSTER is a high performance short board. It is ridden shorter and wider than your normal length giving you a more curved plan shape which allows for a tighter turning circle. The super wider squash tail helps plane through the flat section and adds to the boards acceleration and drive. The widest point has been shifted forward, to enable more hold off the rails through manoeuvres. Designed for the intermediate to advanced surfer in waist high to overhead waves.   Length Width Thickness Volume (Litres) Weight Capacity (KG) 5'4" 18 1/2" 2" 21,4 40 - 50 5'5" 18 1/2" 2 1/8" 22,5 50 - 60 5'6" 18 3/4" 2 3/16" 24,5 55 -65 5'7" 18 3/4" 2 1/4" 25,4 60 - 70 5'8" 19" 2 5/16" 26,6 65 - 75 5'9" 19 1/4" 2 3/8" 27,5 70 - 80 5'10" 19 1/2" 2 7/16" 29,1 75 -85 5'11" 19 3/4" 2 1/2" 30,4 80 - 90 6'0" 19 7/8" 2 5/8" 31,5 85 - 95 6'1" 19 7/8" 2 3/4" 33,5 90 - 100

If you are a ripper and want to add a short fish/fun board to your quiver, you just found it. In 2000 the original Pod rapidly became a global favorite, allowing surfers to drop six inches off their short boards and revolutionize punting. The Pod Mod design is a heavily modified Pod, designed to be ridden even shorter and wider than the original, catering to the surfer that wants a little more volume forward to catch waves but doesn¿t want to sacrifice performance. The tail has been widened for small wave glide, and the original single to double concave has been replaced with a flat entry to concave vee for quick rail to rail transitions. Experienced surfers ride this board 3¿- 6¿ shorter than you are tall. Call us or drop us a mail for any further info or free advice! Pollywog is stoked to show you the Clayton Surfboards Ned Kelly. The Ned Kelly is a high performance short board ridden at your normal length. The board has aggressive deep single to double concave with low rails. This entry rocker is medium and the "V" in the tail increases the tail rocker for more release in critical situations. The board works best with the standard medium squash tail. Definitely a must for the serious performance surfer or the more aggressive surfer. Designed in conjunction with the LayZboy, The Couch Potato in the extreme small wave version of the same general concept. It is wider, shorter, with a flatter rocker and a more parallel, yet continuously curving, outline than its big brother. Designed specifically a small wave surfboard, The Couch Potato (CP) is essentially a grovel version of the LayZboy, with a noticeably wider nose, with less entry rocker and a fuller forward foil, combined with a slightly wider tail. The outline and rocker combine for a board that is crazy fast, yet still controllable and maneuverable, in gutless surf. A waist high weapon that, like the LayZboy, can be surfed equally effective from both a centered stance or off the tail. Recommend to be ridden 2¿ shorter than the LayZBoy or the same size as Plank or Bottom Feeder. When it¿s really small and mushy you can forget the long board. Originally inspired after trying a friend¿s ¿Mini Simmons¿ twin keel, retro board in knee high lumps. The board was fast and fun, but I couldn¿t really lay into it. Motivated to do better, I hand shaped a ¿Green Foam¿ recycled fish blank and attacked the 6¿0¿ blank like a high school sculpture project¿. keeping in mind the unique glide of that ¿Simmons¿. The blank was pretty thin, so I left the deck flat. It¿s really wide, so no concave. Looking for ridiculous glide, but demanding aggressive turning, I left it really straight rockered, but did a little flip out the back. I made it a strong bump, diamond tail. In place of the twin keels, wanting a more reliable feeling, I chose to make it a quad, and used a Future Fins solid glass fin we have been playing with as the template. That first ¿Plank¿ was about 6¿0¿ x 22¿ x 2.5¿ full, and was the easiest board I have ever ridden in waves I would normally only bother with on a long board. The ¿Plank¿ catches anything and does full rail roundhouse cutbacks on 10¿ high lumps of water. If you like the way it looks, and want a truly unique and extreme small wave tool to keep you off that log, then think about custom ordering one of these. I guarantee you won¿t be let down.
