Special Forces/Recce Operator + Attack Diver - (nutria with olive green border) This combined badge is slightly smaller than the regular size badges ......... see overall measurements on the picture. The overall cloth size is 100mm x 50mm.  The dagger length is 43mm and the wreath is 30mm in diameter. The Attack Diver badge is also 30mm in diameter. I have had them for about 20yrs. Found them when scratching in my boxes, when I relocated a few months ago. I received them many years ago with a batch of different Recce cloth badges that were the correct regular size. I have seen them in other collections, but they not often seen. The design is 100% correct, but the specifications are smaller. Below is a sample picture of a Regular size Operator badge to compare with the small size combined badge:

Recce - Koos Stadler - Tafelberg - 2015 - Paperback in good, clean an dtight condition. Shrouded in secrecy due to the covert nature of their work, the legendary  Recces have fascinated South Africans for years. Now one of these elite soldiers has written a tell-all book about the extraordinary missions he embarked on and the nail-biting action he experienced in the Border War. Shortly after passing the infamously gruelling Special Forces selection course in the early 1980's, Koos Stadler joined the so-called Small Teams group at 5 Reconnaissance Regiment. This subunit was made up of two-man teams and was responsible for numerous secret and highly dangerous missions deep behind enemy lines. With only one team member, Stadler was sent to blow up railway lines and enemy fighter jets in the south of Angola. As he crawled into and out of enemy-infested territory, he stared death in the face many times. A gripping firsthand account that reveals the near superhuman physical and psychological powers these  Special Forces operators have to display. Shrouded in secrecy due to the covert nature of their work, the legendary  Recces have fascinated South Africans for years.
