Best of Range: Doom 3 (PC CD) Brand New In Box (Sealed but sometimes supplied without film wrapping) THIS PRODUCT IS IMPORTED ON ORDER - PLEASE SEE "SHIPPING & PAYMENT" FOR DELIVERY TIMES Game Information Platform:   Windows XP BBFC Rating: Suitable for 18 years and over. Not for sale to persons under age 18. By placing an order for this product, you declare that you are 18 years of age or over. Media: Video Game Product details Release Date: 29 Jun Features: First-person shooter Third installment in the ground-breaking DOOM series Enhanced storyline--winner of multiple awards for graphics, sound, and action Spine-chilling, bloodcurdling, altogether unfriendly environment Music by Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails Product Description ReviewThe long awaited release of Doom 3 sees it claiming two of gaming¿¿¿s highest accolades: that of having the best graphics ever seen and of being the scariest video game ever made. The question of graphics seemed a pretty open and shut case from the moment the game was announced--this is the first new title from legendary developers iD Software since Quake III: Arena and as such it features completely new graphics technology. The reason the game is likely to win the Dr Who award for behind the sofa gaming is in the way it chooses to use its awesome new graphical power. The game¿¿¿s storyline is a loose remake of the first Doom game (from way back in ) but the style of gameplay is actually radically different. This is more like a first person Resident Evil than anything else, with corpses lunging out at when you least expect it and monsters scattering their innards all over the place whenever you introduce them to the business end of your shotgun. In actual fact though it¿¿¿s not the graphics that are the most disturbing aspect of the game but the sound, with every unknown noise ratcheting the tension up so much that by the time a monster actually does appear it¿¿¿s almost a relief to tangle with them. Doom 3 is not for the faint hearted and that¿¿¿s not a warning to be taken lightly--anyone keen on wearing oversized women¿¿¿s shirts will have a coronary within minutes. But for everyone else this is exactly what the doctor ordered. --David Jenkins

To us, as to only a few men on this earth, there will be opened up gulfs of time and space and knowledge beyond anything within the conception of human science and philosophy." H.P. Lovecraft, The Whisperer in Darkness Who could have ever guessed that your search for two missing professors would lead to this? The wind howls. Ritual magic vibrates through the air. And the world is ripping apart. Your time is running out. Your doom is fast approaching! Where Doom Awaits is the fifth Mythos Pack in The Dunwich Legacy cycle for Arkham Horror: The Card Game. Even as its new scenario carries your investigations rapidly toward their climactic conclusion, it dizzies your investigator with a distorted version of reality. The woods outside of Dunwich are changing. Introduction: nail'd is all about eschewing boring realism for over the top arcade fun. It's a racer that challenges everything from player reflexes to the rules of physics. Riding on ATVs and motocross bikes with powerful boost controls, players will race down near-vertical courses of incredible jumps, stunts and obstacles. The brutal challenge of the Yosemite National Park is but one of the many places they'll learn the meaning of verticality. nail'd's single-player campaign features multiple configurable modes and races including Tournament, Time Attack and Quick Event. The multi-player mode allows players to compete head to head in a range of race-types locally or online. Earned points will determine a player's position on leader boards. Based on the player's performance and ability to pull off stunning feats of speed and glory during each race, they'll unlock exciting new components to customize their vehicle. Features: High-Octane Speed: nail'd aims to be the fastest off-road racer of them all - each track is engineered to keep players on the edge of their seat with anticipation of what's behind the next hairpin bend. What's more, nail'd focuses on players utilizing its amazing turbo boost ability for incentives rather than points, supercharging the game's sense of lightning-fast speed. Extreme Terrain: nail'd, while set in real-life locations such as Yosemite Park, is designed to reflect the over-the-top arcade nature of the game. This is a world where impossible tracks and broken and bent laws of physics reign supreme! Over the Top Jumps: There's nothing like flying off a cliff edge and then falling half a mile towards the ground. Sounds like fun? Throw-in dodging the blades of several towering wind turbines and struggling to nail the perfect landing with your opponents trying to knock you from your ride. If 'big air' in other games is earth-sized, nail'd is like a twin galaxy of stomach-in-mouth terror. Intense Head to Head Action: Up to 11 AI opponents will keep players on their toes; they say death comes from above and that's very often the case in nail'd. It's not all one way though, players can knock opponents from their vehicles and for extreme punishment they can deal a crushing blow from the sky by landing on top of their opponents. Straightforward Arcade Fun: It's not about gear ratios and weight distribution - nail'd is simply push button -> go fast -> try not to die in a ball of flaming doom! Easy to pick up gameplay and over the top environments, jumps and spectacular deaths make this game a thrill to play or even sit back and watch. Stunning Visual Effects and Outdoor Environments: Using Techland's Chrome Engine 4, nail'd features cutting-edge visuals including expansive vistas, highly complex geometry and a host of visual effects such as mud and water splashes. Specifications: Publisher: Deep Silver Developer: Techland Platform: Xbox 360 Release Date: 04/02/2011 Genre: Racing Rated: Everyone (10+) > Lyrics > Mild Violence Players: 1; 12 Online
