Looking for more curve, we added nose rocker only in the forward 12-18¿ (Freeing it up in nose picks, tail first landings and radical direction changes). The rails are bit lower than the V2 and the concave in the tail more shallow¿lending more control at high speeds and better to surf on a rail. All this combines for board specifically suited for above average surfers who want performance, unhindered by un-needed bulk or excess volume. Since its inception many WCT and WQS Athletes have adopted it as their go-to fave. The ¿V2-Grinder¿ is a V2-SB squished into a stubby, squatty little firecracker. First built for a few of my ¿Domestic¿ buddies whose surfing can be described as ¿ former pro level, now grown up, with kids and a job, surfing crappy beach breaks with my kids¿whenever I get a chance¿. Pleasantly surprised by rave reviews from the older, local heroes, we placed a few under the feet of some WCT and QS ¿Grinders¿. Ends up, the board is a superb small wave contest machine. With the likes of Carissa Moore and other world class competitors using them in lackluster conditions to great success, we included it in the line. To the V2s distinctive low entry and noticeable tail lift, we married an outline that resembles the classic Sub Scorcher. The wide tail block provides drive, lift and a stable platform in meager conditions. The short rail line and healthy amount of tail lift (paired with full and forgiving rails) still permeate the water and allow proper rail turns in small, tight, quirky shore pound. Yes Thanks is the newest addition to the Kerrlection series. A wider, fuller performance short board designed for knee to solid overhead surf. Features a bottom with continues rocker and a fairly deep single concave splitting into a double through the fins and off the tail. This thing hops and has heaps of pop! Another key feature is a slightly wider tail block and added bump in the outline at mid fins, acts as a pivot point to enhance turning. All of the above make this a very forgiving and versatile design. If you are a ripper and have not tried this yet you should, it will be one of the best additions to your quiver. TORSION SPRING The idea behind the Torsion Spring is to create a one piece hull where the left side talks to the right side with dynamic flex without losing kinetic energy from the wave. This core gives you the quiet, smooth, feeling of a polyurethane board but the lightness of an EPS board. Fully waterproof, if you get a small ding, you don¿t have to worry about ending your session. The Carbon Kevlar tape used along the rail in this 3D perimeter reinforced construction resists buckling. The way it wraps onto the top of the tail in the fin zone frees the tail up and provides extra rebound out of turns.
