It is preferred filament over PLA in application where it will be subject to heat.

Polylactic acid (PLA) is a bio-degradable polymer produced from crops such as maize.  It is harder than ABS, melts at a lower temperature, and has a glass transition temperature between 60-65 C. This is high quality PLA 1.75mm filament with consistent diameter and roundness that makes it ideal for 3D printing. It is wound on a 1kg spool and sealed in a bag with dessicant to reduce moisture.
