This is a set we inherited and consists of a brooch, bangle, necklace, ring and a set of earrings, which were all uniquely hand made together in 1991 by a German jeweler in Bavaria. All fit together with exactly the same type and shade of polished Cabon Chrysoprase stones (the most rare, and most expensive, of the chalcedony family of gemstones). Diamonds are different sizes, see details below. The earrings are 18ct gold, the brooch and ring 14ct and the necklace 8ct. Original german purchase certificate from 1991 is included. The gold has a criss-cross brushed effect. All items are very clean, and look like they have never been used. I think they were used maybe less that 5 times. Oh and it comes with one of those nice dark blue material jewelry boxes where everything can nicely fit in. Below are the details of each piece: Ring One 14ct yellow gold chrysoprase and diamond ring with the following stones: - 1 oval cabochon chrysoprase with a diameter of 12mmx10mm. The stone is set in a tube setting and has a broad platform with a criss cross finish around it. - In the band of the ring there are a total of six round diamonds with a weight of 0.015ct each, set in pave. - The ring has a total weight of 8.7gr and is polished. Brooch One 14ct yellow gold chrysoprase and diamond brooch with the following stones: - 1 oval cabochon chrysoprase with a diameter of 18mmx13mm. Each of these diamonds has a weight of 0.05ct. - The bangle works with a hinge mechanism and ends in a box clasp and safety catch. - The surface of the bangle has a rough criss cross finish. - Tha bangle has a total weight of 55.9g. Pendant and chain 8ct yellow gold chrysoprase pendant and chain. 1 cabochon chrysoprase with a diameter of 14.0mmx10.0mm. The stone is set in a 8ct yellow gold tube. The pendant hangs of a 8ct fine curb chain. The item has a total weight of 3.6gr and is polished. Earrings One pair of 18ct yellow gold chrysoprase and diamond earrings with the following stones: - Each earring has 1 oval cabochon chrysoprase stone with a diameter of 12mmx10mm. Beautifully conceived and designed by Sarah van Heerden.   Sarah’s choice of precious metal was 18k yellow gold and her choice was strongly influenced by the fact that Saranya was married to Surya, the Hindu Sun God.   In her design Sarah also incorporated fourteen diamond cut yellow Sri Lanka Sapphires which have had quite an astonishing effect on the yellow gold into which they are channel set – they strikingly, and very visibly, intensify the glorious yellow of the gold.   This took us totally by surprise as it only became apparent after the piece was set and polished. We just looked at each other in amazement as the gold seemed to possess a life of its own, almost as though it were liquid and flowing like golden lava.   THE FEATURE STONE   The choice of feature stone was not so easy, Sarah felt that the choice needed to be a ‘warm’ coloured gemstone and finally we opted for a stunning 4.14 Carat flawless Lotus Blossom Tourmaline earth mined in Mozambique.   THE DIAMONDS   There are a total of 70 high quality natural diamonds set in the Saranya ring with two Aristocracy ‘signature’ diamonds set on either side of the shank.
