The first half of this volume has been an inspiration to millions. It describes, in his own words, Simon's childhood in the Welsh village of Nelson, his life in the army, the horrific events of 1982 and his attempts to come to terms with the profound physical and mental scars of his experiences. The second half is about his journey back to the Falklands and to meet the pilot who dropped the bomb on Sir Galahad so that he could come to terms with his new life. The most moving story ever told.
