With this limited edition, Nelson Mandela aimed to raise awareness of the devastating effects of HIV afflicting millions throughout the World – mostly Africa – amongst which a large number of children. Nelson Mandela’s left hand print is surrounded by imprints of the hands of children affected by HIV. The numbers of those already afflicted by this terrible disease are truly appalling and the forecasts are absolutely chilling.
