Airline Tycoon (PC) Platform: Windows 95, Windows 98 Condition: New Other versions of this game available from us: Platform: Pre-Owned/Used: Very Good Condition copies available Product Information Have you had enough of delayed flights Airline strikes, lost luggage, Think you could do better Your tools to succeed in this mission:- your tools and your filofax Here is your chance to manage your own airline for better or for worse 16 missions, 26 different types of aircraft 200 routes - online playable Product Description Review In this game, you act the part of a budding airline tycoon, trying to win out against three other budding tycoons. You must keep your aircraft in good shape and equip them at a level to keep the customers satisfied, buy new planes (from the expensive Airplane Agency or from Mr Schlauberger at the museum who fixes 'em up and sells 'em cheap) and take out bank loans if required. You must also manage your personnel, plan flights, buy fuel, attend meetings in the airport manager's office and, if you have time, slip into Rick's cafe for a quick cup of coffee. There is lots to explore and many decisions to make. The graphics are bright and decidedly tongue in cheek: the tycoon Igor Tuppolevsky has a set of Russian dolls on his desk--and an open tin of caviar. With a network, up to four people can play at once and the game status can be saved (as it can in single-player mode) for long battles of wit. The game originated in Germany and the manual runs to charming turns of phrase such as the one describing the game as one that will "bring fun without much pondering". It's true, too. -- Mark Whitehorn
