Copper body with brass bell garland, connecting ferrule in tubing, bow guard and mouthpiece receiver. Stamped above bell: HAWKES & SON/Denman Street/Piccadilly Circus/LONDON/1917. This instrument is one of a very large number of bugles that were made in London in the early years of the First World War to meet the Army's demand.
