Microsoft Train Simulator (PC CD) Platform: Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows Me, Windows 95 Condition: New Other versions of this game available from us: Platform: Pre-Owned/Used: Very Good Condition copies available Product Information One of the most realistic train experiences ever brought to the PC Hundreds of miles of highly detailed, accurately recreated rail routes Real-world, detailed sound effects Dynamic, 24-hour environment Route Editor Six highly detailed train routes Nine drivable locomotives Product Description Experience the excitement of trains on your PC! Take the controls from the engineer's cab with 6,000 tons of freight behind you and exciting challenges ahead. Or relax in the passenger's seat and enjoy the unfolding scenery. Trains, routes and sounds have Review Microsoft Train Simulator has been developed by the team responsible for Microsoft's flight simulator range and shows the same high attention to detail in both graphics and gameplay. The latter is similar to GP3 's, giving you the chance to control whatever level of detail you want--from the pressure gauges to stoking the engine. Of course, the un-technical among us can just take the train out for a spin and keep it simple across the six world tracks that Microsoft initially offers. Graphics, like the flight sims', are very impressive, but will need a powerful machine to get the full beauty while chugging along in the countryside. Apart from the free reign on the tracks, there are a number of missions, or tasks, that you've got to complete, ranging from simply getting from A to B to rescuing a train ¿¿ la Thomas the Tank Engine. With more depth than most, this game is for all comers alike; whether you've been following trains for the last 50 years or this is your first foray, the learning curve is there. Okay, so you can't back left at a whim, nor fly by the control tower at mach six, but the thousands of train aficionados out there are sure to have their imaginations stoked by the six tracks, nine locomotives and track editor. --Jason Denwood --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

Microsoft Train Simulator Game (Exclusive) PC Platform: Windows Condition: New Other versions of this game available from us: Pre-Owned/Used: Very Good Condition copies available Product Description Spawn features Todd McFarlane's comic book creation and is based on the arcade game. Players choose their character and battle enemies in 3D environments. In addition to the main game, players can choose a computer-controlled teammate for the team battle tournament mode. There is also support for up to four players in the team battle mode and the battle royal. Review Straight from the fiery pits of Hades (and the folks at Capcom, of course) comes a devilishly addictive video game with action to spare. Based on the comic book by Todd McFarlane, Spawn has become a successful cartoon, a mediocre movie, an action figure and, with the advent of Spawn: In the Demon's Hand, a video game. Spawn 's entry into the video-game world is a fighting game akin to a smaller scale Gauntlet Legends, with power-ups and weapons that lie around a 3-D landscape that's filled with ferocious enemies. The game offers three distinct fighting modes--team, battle royal and boss--and features graphics that are so sharp it feels almost like you're playing one of McFarlane's comic-book characters come to life. Unfortunately, the game's controls are somewhat difficult to master--movement is controlled by the digital pad, and aiming is performed with the analogue joystick. Add the incredibly quick action and multiple characters on the screen, and you've got what can be sometimes a confusing mess. The faint of heart will be pleased to see that, along with toggles for the skill and volume levels, Spawn: In the Demon's Hand features a three-stage violence option that allows the player to ease the gore--though even with the violence level turned all the way down, Spawn's idea of conflict resolution still involves a magic chain to the noggin. -- Benjamin Reese

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2002 (PC) Platform: Windows 2000, Windows 98, Windows NT, Windows Me, Windows XP Condition: New Other versions of this game available from us: Platform: Pre-Owned/Used: Very Good Condition copies available Product Description Review Microsoft Flight Simulator 2002 has come on in leaps and bounds since the last edition. With improved graphics, greater realism and plenty of options you will be hard pushed to find a better flight simulator. They always say that God is in the detail, and the Flight simulator team have proved it here. The main difference you will notice straight away is in the landscape detail, taking on ideas that they have learnt through previous versions and their work on Microsoft Train Simulator (it's the same team) they have produced very impressive scenery. The sea shimmers in the sunlight, while waves crash against the seashore. Improved detail also means that certain cities like Las Vegas have character to them--you can see the lights and fireworks at night--while some airports now have the ability for you to dock at specific gates. It's not just the scenery though that has been improved and Microsoft Flight Simulator has now got a fully interactive Air Traffic Control system allowing you to request everything from landing procedures to traffic information. The need for a runway is no guarantee however, as the game has also introduced an amphibian plane to contend with, allowing you to land on any lake, sea or river. With so many features including downloadable live weather, multiplayer functions and even an analysis option to record your flights, this is one hefty product that will quench the thirst of any flight sim fan. -- Jason Denwood Manufacturer's Description Microsoft Flight Simulator 2002, Standard Edition is the latest version of Microsoft's highly realistic aviation simulation--the top-selling PC flight simulation ever produced. FS 2002 introduces many exciting features, including interactive air traffic control (ATC) and auto-generated scenery, plus challenging new aircraft and stunning visual enhancements that truly make Flight Simulator 2002, Standard Edition "as real as it gets." Flight Simulator 2002, Standard Edition includes a wide variety of aircraft for you to fly--from a new Cessna 208 Caravan floatplane to the Boeing 747-400 jumbo jet. You can splash down in a lake, hover in the Bell 206B JetRanger III helicopter, practice aerobatics in the Extra 300S, or fly like a famous World War II fighter ace in a Sopwith Camel. FS 2002 Standard includes a total of 12 aircraft. The most dramatic new features common to both the standard and pro editions are the interactive air traffic control system, crowded skies, and auto-generated scenery. The interactive air traffic control feature adds a new dimension to Flight Simulator. Now you can ask for takeoff clearance, get vectors for an instrument approach, and hear other traffic as you fly. In fact, the "other traffic" is itself a new feature: a new artificial intelligence system generates air traffic around and between airports. It'll be hard to pay attention to the air traffic, however, as the scenery in FS 2002 is so attractive. As you fly above cities, towns, farmland, and dramatic landscapes, Flight Simulator adds buildings and vegetation appropriate to the terrain below. Office buildings, factories, homes, farmhouses, and trees smoothly blend in on the horizon and fill the entire area with detail that adds unprecedented depth and reality to the game. Other features include more than 21,000 airports, multiplayer capability, improved weather effects, a moving map and GPS system, in-depth flight analysis, and more.
