  Microcare Data Acquisition Cable is used to connect a MICROCARE   LCD  MPPT directly to PC to monitor power production: software  supplied. The link for software will be supplied with unit. Application:  The purpose of this cable & software is to provide real-time visual feedback of the performance of the machine. By viewing the graphs one will be able to track such aspects as the Charge voltage, current and power  in real time. You will be able to plot any 2 of these side by side as required for analysis. You will also be able to program the MPPT by sending it calibration and settings information.  Computer system requirements: A computer/Laptop running Microsoft Windows 7 and Microcare Data Acquisition Software as supplied by link on receipt of Data Cable. This  TRACKER will always find the optimum power point of the solar panel system to ensure that maximum power is extracted from the solar panel and put into the batteries. Using this system up to 30% more power can be extracted from the solar panel  than using shunt or series pass regulators. This  MICROCARE MPPT REGULATOR is also able to charge batteries of a lower voltage than the solar panel. By means of LEDS it will show the status of the system. It also incorporates various charge modes which will automatically increase the charge level to the batteries when first starting up or if the battery voltage falls below the minimum volts. This MICROCARE MPPT REGULATOR will read the nominal battery voltage. This unit is designed to run on a 12/24 volt battery set. It will then read the solar panel voltage and automatically find the optimum power point. The charging, battery values and boost modes are then automatically adjusted. Via links the load voltage disconnect can be selected, whether the battery is lead acid or sealed, and whether the unit operates as a normal load shedder or as a day/night switch.   Features:   Automatically measures the battery voltage and then sets up the charge parameters (12v-24v). Service and repair of the products at a minimum cost due to local manufacture.                         MPPT OPERATION DESCRIPTION:         Above and below schematics show how an MPPT functions during the course of a day.   In the morning, as soon as the MPPT detects that the Panel Voltage is at a usable level (MPPT charge entry voltage): it starts to charge the batteries at maximum efficiency in a BOOST mode which has a nominal voltage of 14.5V per 12V battery bank. If however the batteries are detected to not be uniformly discharged, the MPPT will go into EQUALISE mode to restore the battery bank balance before switching to BOOST mode as its primary charge mode.. The MPPT maintains this mode until the batteries reach the boost voltage and the charge current decreases to a level below a nominal changeable level of 6 Amps. The MPPT then steps down the charge voltage to a nominal voltage of 13.8V per 12V battery bank in FLOAT mode. The MPPT will attempt to maintain FLOAT mode for as long as the panel voltage is present.
