Maraisburg -Cape 1877-1913 The district is named after Daniel Marais who was responsible for the establishment of the town of Marais on the farm Boorfontein in 1873/4. In 1911 the town was renamed Hofmeyer and the post office changed its name to Hofmeyer 1913. Clear strikes and nice card. Reverse of the card is of no interest. Here
