What is Avalon? Avalon is a transparent film which provides extra stability for fabrics like knitwear and stretchy fabrics. It can be used as a topping or backing to help improve the appearance of embroidery. What is a Wash-Away Stabilizer? Wash-away stabilizers are designed to dissolve when wet. It comes in two forms: plastic-like film and soluble paper.Both forms can be framed with the fabric. Fabrics Used On Perfect on deep pile fabrics such as towelling, fleece or knitwear to stop stitches from sinking. Also, place thin or stretchy fabric between two layers of the Avalon water soluble stabilizer and stretch taut in the embroidery frame. Use a wash-away stabilizer for free-motion and programmed-stitch embroidery, especially with fabrics that are difficult to mark.
