Yacht Wattoo, moored in East London at Buffalo River Yacht Club Design: Lavranos Astove 31, built 1994, first launched 1998 31 feet length over all Engine: Yanmar 2GM20 (16 hp) Sails: 2 Mains, 1 genoa, 1 spare foresail, 1 spinnacker, 1 storm jib Licensed for 8 passengers, can sleep 6, has got a marine toilet Comes with safety equipment for category C,VHF radio, GPS, wind instrument, depth sounder, speedometer, trip log, several spares The boat is in very well maintained condition. She is a lovely and faithful boat, has always brought me home safely. Got taken out of the water for an overhaul in 2014: Hull: old antifouling was removed, a fresh layer of epoxy primer and antifouling was put on Deck: repainted with new antislip Engine: was taken out of the boat, cylinder head taken off, valve seats reground and valves readjusted, salt and scale build up in the cooling system removed, engine anodes replaced, cooling water pump got new bearings, seals and impeller, new raw water filter put in, injectors taken out and tested (all ok), belts replaced, starter motor, solenoid and alternator taken out and serviced PSS (through hull seal, packless seal system) replaced Water piping replaced, all hose clamps changed to stainless steel Play on the rudder was fixed, rudder was taken out and reinforced with a fresh layer of epoxy Problem of dirt in the tank solved: tank was taken out (stainless steel, 100l), a maintenance hatch was put in, tank was cleaned out, new fittings for fuel lines welded on and put back in, whole fuel line was replaced Batteries replaced (2x 65 Ah deep cycle) Standing rig checked over (all ok, was replaced in 2009) 2015: Gas system replaced (gas line, gas stove, regulator) Wiring was replaced completely, new switch board put in, lights changed to LED Interior headliners replaced with a stunning finish COF category C renewed in September

This sea-kindly yacht needs a new owner.  She has a comfortable and practical interior layout. Rated category A (this is a real plus) means that this vessel is ocean ready and comes with all the necessary safety equipment including a liferaft. The Morgan 31's were designed by the renowned Angelo Lavranos and are ideally suited for the cruising couple. Boat in fantastic condition. Many sails including a 1 year old Kelvar no.3 Genoa from North Sails Battery and charger. Suzuki 4-stroke outboard (very light and economical) Mooring in Royal Cape Yacht Club worth more than R. The boat was socially raced and won a few races and was competitive in all the other races. Last race she came 3rd (of 9 boats) in a double handed race. On a trip from Gordons Bay to Cape Town we managed a maximum speed of 12.8 knots. and regularly went over 12 knots. Brilliant little Lavranos designed boat. Price is unfortunately not negotiable as I am only selling because I do not have enough free time to sail her more than once a month as of late.

This boat is a quarter tonner built in she is a design of Angelo Lavranos Her overall length is 7,84 m, with a beam of 2,9m. She needs a new deck, rudder and deck hardware. The mast and boom are ok, but need some work. The boat was very advance for her time, winning the quarter ton worlds in Italy in . Hull is solid. Out of the water at the Cape Town waterfront.
