WWII German Afrika Korps -- Sonderverband 288 metal cap or tunic insignia   The famous insignia worn by the Kampfgruppe Menton was probably worn on the caps by members of this elite unit. Cast in solid brass, the insignia measures about 41 x 49 mm and is fitted with a brooch pin.     Please see the Photo's as part of the description.
