In 1978, seven years after Jim Morrison died and five years after the remaining members of the band broke up, Ray Manzarek, Robby Krieger, and John Densmore reunited and recorded backing tracks over Morrison's poetry (originally recorded in a poetry session, in 1969). Other pieces of music and spoken word recorded by the Doors and Morrison were also used in the audio collage, such as dialogue from Morrison's film HWY and snippets from jam sessions. A drama based on the life of rock star Jim Morrison whose life came tragically to an end in a haze of drugs.      

  Live in Boston is a triple CD live album by American rock band the Doors. It was recorded at the Boston Arena on April 10, 1970 during the band's Roadhouse Blues Tour. The band performed two shows, one starting at 7pm and a second scheduled for 10pm but not actually starting until past midnight. Jim Morrison appears to be intoxicated during the entire latter show, and continued drinking heavily throughout the performance. The late start ended with the venue's owners cutting power to the stage to force the end of the concert. The album was released from the Bright Midnight Archives collection which contains a number of previously unreleased live concerts by the Doors.
