Developed and patented by John Isaac Hawkins (). Famously used by American President Thomas Jefferson. Marked "Hawkins & Peale's Patent Polygraph No. 57," this machine was used by Jefferson from until his death. Jefferson first acquired the letter-copying device he called "the finest invention of the present age" in March of ]   Invented and named by Englishman John Isaac Hawkins, the polygraph used the principles of the pantograph, a draftsman tool for reducing and enlarging drawings. [3]   The writer's hand moves one pen whose action is duplicated by the second one, producing a copy strikingly like the original. Before he returned to England in , Hawkins assigned his American patent rights to Charles Willson Peale, who developed and marketed the invention. [4]   Jefferson was one of his most eager clients, purchasing one for the President's House and one for Monticello. He soon exchanged these machines for new ones, as Peale continued to perfect the design—often according to Jefferson's suggestions. By Jefferson wrote that "the use of the polygraph has spoiled me for the old copying press the copies of which are hardly ever legible.... I could not, now therefore, live without the Polygraph."

Prunus serrulata  Bonsai Seeds Prunus serrulata or Japanese Flowering Cherry is a species of cherry, native to Japan, Korea and China. It is a small deciduous tree with a short single trunk and dense crown reaching a height of about 4.5m to 7.5m. The leaves are arranged alternately, simple, ovate to lanceolate, 5 inches long with a short petiole and a serrate or doubly serrate margin. At the end of autumn, the green leaves turn yellow, red or crimson. The flowers are produced in racemose clusters of two to five together at nodes on short spurs in spring at the same time as the new leaves appear. Flowers come in single, semi-double or double form and may be fragrant or non-fragrant. The fruit is a globose black pea-sized drupe appearing in late summer. The Japanese Flowering Cherry Tree, which only blooms for a very short time in the spring, is sometimes called Sakura ("tree on which god sits") and symbolizes spring, life and beauty. The Japanese consider these trees very special. The cherry blossom came to Japan when a Japanese goddess named Konohanasakuyahime planted one atop Mt. Fuji. In 1912, Tokyo gave many such trees as a gift to the United States. We can find many of these trees around the Jefferson memorial in Washington D.C., where an annual Cherry Blossom Festival is held every year since 1935. After World War II, many of the trees in Japan began to die so we donated pieces of our trees to help save the population in Japan. On offer is a pack of 5 Seeds

Momordica balsamina also known as the Balsam Apple, Cundeamor, or Southern Balsam pear or simply Balsam Pear, is a curious, tendril-bearing annual vine native to the tropical regions of Africa. Although the pale yellow, deeply veined flowers of the Balsam Apple have a subtle beauty, its round, somewhat warty, bright orange fruits, or "Apples", are its most distinguishing feature. When ripe, the fruits burst apart, revealing numerous seeds covered with a brilliant scarlet, extremely sticky coating. The Balsam Apple was introduced into Europe by 1568 and was used medicinally to treat wounds. In 1810 Thomas Jefferson planted this vine in his flower borders at Monticello along with larkspur, poppies, and nutmeg Plant. While the leaves are safe to eat, the seeds can be toxic if too many are ingested. Although they do sell Balsam supplements, like all things moderation is key. In Mozambique, this plant is known as cacana and in rural areas it is used as an anti-malarial. People usually drink water from its boiled leaves and young fruit to treat malaria. Perennial climber, leaf margins irregularly toothed, orange-red knobbed fruit, edible. Sow Spring.
