If you want to jump straight in, go for a Quick Race, the speed fiends may want to challenge each other to a Time Trial, but the more experienced player will want to dive straight into a Weekend campaign. The Weekend game does require a bit of skill. You can tweak the performance of your car accordingly to get the best results on a particular circuit (of which there are 17 from around the world, including Indianapolis and Silverstone). Speed your way through practice runs, qualifying rounds and then the race itself. Options also exist for changing weather conditions and car damage. For really grab-hardened racing veterans requiring a bit more kick under the hood, F1 2000 (U) doesn't quite deliver the goods. The graphics look dated, lacking the silky realism that has become the norm.
