I have 1 stable available in Colleen Glen for your best friend to keep my two horses company. The monthly fee includes 1 large stable, bedding, feed (concentrates and hay) fed twice a day, regular grooming, daily stable cleaning and general daily care. I have no grooms, your horse will be cared for by myself along with my own horses. Horses graze during the day on approx. 1.2 hectares of pastures with ample shade from large trees. The stables are opened at night for shelter and feeeding purposes. Stable doors are left open so they can come and go as they please. Horses are blanketed in winter (blankets not supplied). There is space in the tack room for your saddles and bridals and a gate remote will be given for easy access. There is a small schooling grass arena available on the property and have close access to the Island Nature Reserve (permits are required). Your horse must come with proof of inoculations and is to be dewormed on arrival. Please call if you are interested and want to come and inspect the premises. Price approx. Butternut is a very sweet loving mini. He is perfect as a pet to small children as he does not kick, bite, pull or act anxious. Butternut loves attention and stands very patiently for his hair to be done and to be brushed. He is easy to catch and loves treats. Small children will be able to lead him around. Butternut is currently 8 months old and stands 80cm. His estimated mature height is between 86cm and 90cm. his testies has not dropped yet. Butternut has been dewormed and his hooves had been done. Betelguese aka Durban DOB 12 Nov 2013. Sire: Hakahana Akito (SAW) Dam: Stochholm Starlight (Basotho) Height: approximately 15.2/15.3 Loves to jump, is friendly on the ground and an easy/uncomplicated horse. Has just come in from the veld for schooling. Is quite green but not at all difficult. Would suit a confident rider with some experience. Not a complete beginners horse (yet) but not mean. just inexperienced. Ridden photos are from his first day under saddle in 3+ months, the type of horse you can leave out for weeks and hop onto with no issues/freshness/spookyness. Is careful with his feet and jumps paddock fences to stand with his herd. Will jump beautifully with more schooling. Has been to practice prelim dressage shows and jumped small jumps under saddle. No time wasters, no home leases.
