(This title is available on demand: expected date of dispatch will be 4-7 working days once ordered) "A beautifully written glimpse into heaven that will encourage those who doubt and thrill those who believe." -Ron Hall, coauthor of Same Kind of Different as Me "Do you remember the hospital, Colton?" Sonja said. "Yes, mommy, I remember," he said. "That's where the angels sang to me." When Colton Burpo made it through an emergency appendectomy, his family was overjoyed at his miraculous survival. What they weren't expecting, though, was the story that emerged in the months that followed-a story as beautiful as it was extraordinary, detailing their little boy's trip to heaven and back. Colton, not yet four years old, told his parents he left his body during the surgery-and authenticated that claim by describing exactly what his parents were doing in another part of the hospital while he was being operated on. He talked of visiting heaven and relayed stories told to him by people he met there whom he had never met in life, sharing events that happened even before he was born. He also astonished his parents with descriptions and obscure details about heaven that matched the Bible exactly, though he had not yet learned to read. With disarming innocence and the plainspoken boldness of a child, Colton tells of meeting long-departed family members. He describes Jesus, the angels, how "really, really big" God is, and how much God loves us. Retold by his father, but using Colton's uniquely simple words, Heaven Is for Real offers a glimpse of the world that awaits us, where as Colton says, "Nobody is old and nobody wears glasses." Heaven Is for Real will forever change the way you think of eternity, offering the chance to see, and believe, like a child. Format:Paperback Pages:192

1979 paperback with 102 pages in good condition. Heaven and hell - Paperback with around 60 pages. R65 postage in SA. The First Book of Urizen as it was originally called, was composed in 1794 but printed only in 1818. It parodies the Book of Genesis by presenting the creation of the material world as a downfall. The process is initiated by Urizen when he separates himself from his fellow "Eternals" and thereby creates difference and self-consciousness. As Urizen falls into this void of his own making, Los reacts by building a material and temporal base below which Urizen cannot descend. There are only a handful of copies of the book. Copy G, available here, was sold anonymously at Sotheby's on 20 January 1852 for £8.15s. to Richard Monckton Milnes, First Lord Houghton. His son, the Earl of Crewe, sold it at Sotheby's on 30 March 1903 for £307 to the dealer Bernard Quaritch, probably acting for William A. White. White owned it the next month. It was sold posthumously from White's collection through A. S. W. Rosenbach to Lessing J. Rosenwald on 1 May 1929, for approximately $5,000. In 1945, it was given by Rosenwald to the Library of Congress, where it now resides.

It is ordered on demand from our supplier and is usually dispatched within 4 - 10 working days When her beloved small dog died, Bel Mooney was astonished at the depth of her ongoing sorrow. Sharing her loss online and in a newspaper article brought a deluge of responses, spurring Bel to explore these feelings further. Why do humans mourn pets? Can animals themselves grieve - and do they have souls? In Goodbye, Pet & See You in Heaven, Bel sets off on an emotional journey to learn more about pet bereavement. She is astounded by inexplicable 'signs' of her dog's spirit, watches Bonnie's ashes being turned into glass, talks to experts and discusses the mysterious enduring energy of love. She discovers why Ancient Egyptians mummified animals and what different faiths, myths, writers and scientists have to say. She also looks back over her own life and reflects on lessons learned from companion animals - and from wildlife too. As informative as it is deeply moving, Goodbye, Pet is an intensely personal, uplifting look at the love we share with pets, both in life and afterwards. Enriched by heartfelt stories and inspirational words, it is a book to be treasured by anyone who has ever loved an animal. Features Summary A deeply moving exploration of feelings humans extend to their pets, by one of Britain's best-loved agony aunts. This item is sold brand new. It is ordered on demand from our supplier and is usually dispatched within 7 - 15 working days Over the course of an extraordinary year, Zev Chafets--former New York "Daily News" columnist and onetime director of the Israeli government press office--traveled the world to explore the improbable confluence of Jews and evangelicals. He spent quality time with Jerry Falwell, visited Jewish cadets at West Point, attended the world's biggest Christian retail show, embarked on a road trip with the rabbi with the largest gentile following since Jesus, journeyed to the Holy Land with a band of repentant Christian pilgrims, and broke bread with George W. Bush and five hundred fellow Jewish Republicans. "A Match Made in Heaven" is the penetrating, engaging, and often hilarious narrative of Chafets's determined quest to get to the root of a very serious question: Why do evangelicals support Israel so strongly? Equal parts history, comedy, travelogue, and political tract, it is a smart and adventurous odyssey along a rapidly changing religious and political border. Features Summary Chafets offers an anecdotal and engaging take on a pressing issue--the unlikely alliance of Evangelical Christians and Jews in America.
