CHAKRA OM BRACELET Om is a mantra and the Sanskrit sound of Hindu origin. It is sacred in various Dharmic religions such as Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism. It is placed at the beginning of most Hindu texts as a sacred chant to be recited at the start and end of a study of the Vedas or before any prayer or mantra. In Hindu it means "absolute reality" and represents the divine energy which is related by three aspects, namely creation, preservation and liberation. Chakras represent the seven main energy centres of the body. Starting at the base of the spine and extending towards the crown of the head, these are spirals of energy like wheels throughout the body. The word chakra comes from the Sanskrit word meaning ‘spinning wheel.’ If the chakras are not balanced, it affects our physical and mental health. Balanced chakras ensure that energy flows unhindered from the higher to lower levels so that the state of prosperity, success and happiness can be reached. Chakra balancing is required for spiritual advancement and also to maintain physical and mental health. This bracelet contains stones that represent the 7 major Chakras, namely hematite, carnelian, tiger eye, rose quartz, turquoise, amethyst and clear quartz. The bracelet is approximately 18cm. We will gladly alter the size if you so require. All jewellery by Sacred Stones are handmade. Sacred Stones pledges that the greatest care is taken to ensure that the gemstones/semi-precious stones that are used in our jewellery are authentic and natural.  We ensure this by obtaining stock from reputable and authorised dealers.  For Sacred Stones, the production of spiritual and holistic jewellery is a labour of love and light and it is important to us to use authentic stones in order to ensure that the desired healing and/or power of the stone is transmitted to the user.

amethyst, Jap Mala, New A beautiful, handmade and traditional mala of 108 richly coloured, 6mm to 7mm  purple Amethyst beads and Guru bead for meditation and japa. Made in India.  In Tibet, Amethyst  is considered sacred to Buddha, possibly due to its ability to activate and balance the 6th Chakra, (Anja Chakra or Third Eye).  Amethyst is said to cure impatience, balance high energy, eliminate chaos, promote clarity and help keep the user grounded. The word 'Mala' means 'Garland'.  Mala beads can be made from wooden beads, seeds, semi-precious or precious stones or gems.  A full size Mala consists of 108 beads.  The number 108 is a sacred, auspicious number in many cultures but particularly in the Hindu tradition.  The number comes from multiplying the 12 astrological houses by the 9 planets.  Each Mala also has a Guru bead, or tassel to remind us of the teachers in our lives.  Traditionally, the mala is held between the thumb and middle finger and as each bead is passed through the finger and thumb, a mantra or god is said silently, quietly or out loud.  The most powerful mantras are said to be those repeated silently in the mind.  This is done until the Guru bead is reached (but not counted), the the Mala is reversed and the process goes on until the Guru bead is reached again.  Repeating a mantra in this way is an excellent way of calming the mind and keeping thought of  'The Divine' (whatever that is for each one of us, whatever culture, religion or belief we hold) in our everyday lives.  Note all products have a 14 day return or exchange guarantee.

Jap Mala, rose quartz, XMAS A beautiful, handmade and traditional mala of 108 richly coloured, 6mm Rose Quartz  beads and Guru bead for meditation and japa. Made in India.  Rose Quartz opens the heart to all forms of love and compassion for self and others. It raises self-esteem. Rose Quartz eases guilt and balances emotions, lowering stress and bringing peace. Use Rose Quartz to enhance positive self-affirmations and to bring calmness and harmony during times of increased stress or crisis. Rose Quartz may also be used to balance all of the chakras and to remove negative energy and replace it with love energy. Traditionally, the mala is held between the thumb and middle finger and as each bead is passed through the finger and thumb, a mantra or god is said either silently, quitely or out loud.  The most powerful mantras are said to be those repeated silently in the mind.  This is done until the Guru bead is reached (but not counted), the the Mala is reversed and the process goes on until the Guru bead is reached again.  Repeating a mantra in this way is an excellent way of calming the mind and keeping thought of  'The Divine' (whatever that is for each one of us, whatever culture, religion or belief we hold) in our every day lives.  To empower the mala, and the mantra used in association with this mala, japa (mantra meditation) should be practiced once each day for 40 consecutive days. When the mala becomes empowered, it can then be worn to transmit the energy of the mantra and the energetic qualities of the mala to the wearer.  If you use a different mantra, the energy of the previous mantra becomes replaced by the new one.  For this reason, many people have different malas for different mantras. When not in use, your mala should be stored in a special, clean and preferably sacred space, for example on a personal altar or on a statue of a deity. Note all products have a 14 day return or exchange guarantee.
