***Please note we deliver to Johannesburg, Cape Town and Bloemfontein*** This one-of-a-kind antique hallmarked solid silver tray was awarded to Sir Everard Duncan Home Fraser Esquire C.M.G by the British residents at Hankow, Hanyang & Wuchang as a mark of personal esteem and regard and in recognition of the valuable services rendered by him to the Community during his tenure of office as H.M. Consul-General at Hankow; January 1900 – January 1911. (The Provenance documents accompany the tray).  Sir Everard Fraser was Consul-General for Great Britain at Shanghai.  Sir Everard Fraser was Knighted by King Edward VII as Knight Commander, Third Class and then later further Knighthood advancements were made by King George V as Knight Commander Second Class and appointed as Consul-General of Shanghai by King George V. The signed Royal Provenance documentation accompanies the tray. The hallmarks on the tray consist of the "Crown" city mark confirming the tray was made in Sheffield, the Lion Passant confirming it is British sterling silver (925) and the letter "S" confirming it was made in 1910. The makers stamp (assay) confirms the tray was made by Elkington & Co. Silversmiths of Sheffield. The tray measures an astounding 62cm long x 45cm wide (73.5cm handle to handle) and weighs in at an astonishing 4.835kg. There are minor/ normal scuffs associated with a serving tray. Trays such as this one are extremely rare, especially in this weight category and this condition and is political and British Monarchy affiliations. The War Medal 1939–1945 was a British decoration awarded to those who had served in the Armed Forces or Merchant Navy full-time for at least 28 days between 3 September 1939 and 2 September 1945. The Italy Star was awarded for operational service (on land) in Italy, Greece, Yugoslavia, Pantelleria, the Aegean area and Dodecanese Islands, and Elba at any time between 11 June 1943 and 8 May 1945. The Africa Service medal for 216826 - H.P.J.J. Van Rensburg. Instituted on 16 November 1943 by King George VI of Great Britain. The medal was given for service in the Union of South Africa defense forces and other uniformed services. A WW11 War 1939–1945 medal awarded to 546181 - R. Mansley. A full size SADF General Service medal no. 148267. These medals were awarded for service in the SADF between 1 January 1983 and 23 August 1993. An uninscribed WW11 War 1939–1945 medal. WW2 S.A.C Signals S.A. Sein-Korps bi-metal cap badge. WW2 South African Tank Corps cap badge. A Cambridgeshire National Reserve cap badge. 4 SAAF/SALM badges. This consists of 2 cap badges (1 WW2 & 1 contemporary) and 2 other insignia. They are all SAAF/SALM. All medals and badges are in good condition considering their respective ages.
