ORIGINAL FROM , framed printed engraving, The Illustrated London News, 'The Zulu War; General Lord Chelmsford reviewing the Native Contingent on the banks of the Tugela; Natives shouting, H-Hoo!', under glass,  545 x 400m, (with frame, 695 x 570mm), condition:very good. The Anglo-Zulu War was fought in between the British and the Zulus.  The war is notable for several particularly bloody battles, including a stunning opening victory by the Zulu at the Battle of Isandlwana, as well as for being a landmark in the timeline of imperialism in the region. The War marked the end of the Zulu nation's independence.

There are signed letters and  photographs of Colonel Long which were written about 18 months before he died at the Battle of Colenso.  There are also newspaper cuttings - one by Winston Churchill.These are all framed between double glass and both sides of the letters and newspaper cuttings can be read.  Unique and valuable!

  Deed of Cession between Piet Retief and Dingaan on 4 Feb 1838 - Copy framed behind glass (57x27 framed) From Wikipedia:  The deed of cession of the Tugela-Umzimvubu region, although dated 4 February 1838, was signed by Dingane on 6 February 1838, with the two sides recording three witnesses each. (Recovered after Piet Retief and his men were killed),  was the undamaged deed of cession from Retief's leather purse, as later verified by a member of the "victory commando", E.F. Potgieter. An exact copy survives, but the original deed disappeared in transit to the Netherlands during the Anglo-Boer War. Shipping and packaging: R85

(Sometimes known as a Plane Table Level.)  Made of brass and painted black (War Finish).  The focusing telescope is in good condition giving a clear inverted image onto a crosshair graticule.  The silvered elevation scale is read using a vernier, with the help of a magnifying glass. (Silvered scale is clean,clear and easy to read.)  There are three bubble levels and one  Compass indicator  which all appear to be working perfectly. and one Compass indicator. In 1944, arrested by Gestapo men, he perished in a fascist concentration camp. On the coin obverse against the glass background there are: above - the Small National Emblem of Ukraine, thereunder ¿ the inscription ¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿ / ¿¿¿¿ / ¿¿¿¿¿¿¿ (National Bank of Ukraine), below to the right ¿ 2 / ¿¿¿¿¿¿ (2 hryvnias), the coin face value, beneath - the year of coinage: 2007, to the left there is a depiction of a chestnut leaf fallen on the block pavement and the logotype of the National Bank of Ukraine Mint.
