For a lack of a better word, they refer to their unique style as “Irish-Boereblues!” They also perform their own arrangements of songs that have influenced them, ranging from Bruce Springsteen, The Fureys and Steve Earl to Koos Kombuis and many more. Singer/songwriter, Christoff Beukes, plays acoustic guitar, harmonica and does the lead vocal duties in this exciting duo. David Delaney is an Irishman who has been calling South Africa home for the past two years. He grew up learning his craft playing in the pubs of Waterford, his city of birth. He plays the fiddle, a traditional Irish flute called the low whistle, the mandolin and also adds backing vocals to the mix. Their debut album, “Good to be Alive”, is an amalgamation of their individual musical and cultural backgrounds. “I Need to Sleep Tonight” is their first single and is currently playlisted on twelve radio stations countrywide. Apart from the interesting mix of acoustic instruments,the sound of Beukes and Delaney is the beautiful blend of vocal harmonies that keeps audiences transfixed.

We are a very large industrial manufacturing group located in the south of Johannesburg, with several divisions servicing general industry in South Africa and abroad. For our Industrial Services division we require the services of an energetic outgoing male or female person to sell our range of specialised niche market service products. The work will be aimed at approaching / canvassing / calling on all types of industry within Gauteng and up to 300km around Gauteng. This will include mines, power stations, utilities, refineries, manufacturing concerns, smelters, steelworks, etc. The pictures provide an indication of the type of sites involved. Building long term relationships with these potential customers will ensure return business and annual contracts. Comprehensive training will be provided and persons of all ages may apply. Any type of sales experience will be considered but a positive approach towards being retrained and reskilled will be required. A valid driver’s licence must be presented. The position provides a relevant remuneration package based on experience and includes a vehicle or vehicle allowance, petrol card, celphone or celphone allowance, basic salary, medical and pension. All PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required to enter into these sites will be provided. An entrance medical exam will be completed and it is important to note that some of the sites visited may be underground or above ground.
