Also selling my Garmin InReach Explorer+. This is a satellite tracking device and/or GPS. It can be used as a regular GPS, so you can load tracks and waypoints, without the need for a Garmin subscription. However, in order for you to allow friends to follow your progress, anywhere in the world, or you may need the comfort of having the SOS functionality, you'll need to activate an Iridium subscription through Garmin or ProteGear, etc. Unlike a SPOT tracker, this has 2 way communication, so you can send messages on the fly. Download the Earthmate app to your smartphone for additional functionality. I used this as a backup GPS and tracker to my SPOT tracker, when BikePacking. It is in excellent condition.
